It is also known as the Western Esplanade as it joins the beach at Arawak Cay to Long Wharf. The water is generally calm but there are waves at certain times of the year making this great for body boarding and body surfing. Bargain with the vendors and buy a fun souvenir to take home and then take part in some of the beach activities.

Cable Beach in Nassau, Bahamas

Cable Beach is located a few miles west of Nassau and covers almost two and half miles of stunning real estate filled with 5-star luxury resorts, a golf course, buzzing night life and a world famous Casino. But first, set off for the beach! It is covered in the finest white sand and offers calm sparkling turquoise water. There are few rocks and almost no waves, making this beach ideal for families with children.
Snorkelers will find this to be the perfect venue, where you can see stingrays, turtles and an abundance of colorful marine life as you float in a paradise setting. Pick up some local souvenirs from the vendors, some bargaining is needed! Sports lovers can jet ski to get their boost of adrenaline. After a relaxing swim, take a boat tour out to Eddie Murphy Island with one of the locals. Cable beach leads up to many luxury hotels, where you can stay over in exclusive accommodation or try out one of the world class restaurants for lunch or dinner. Fitness fanatics can join others in running miles along the pristine sands. For some adult fun, visit the Crystal Palace Casino and try your hand at Roulette or Black Jack. Jaw's Beach is located on the far west point of the Island and is a Nassau beach that cannot be missed. Kids will be delighted to know that this location was made famous by the Jaws 4: The Revenge! It overlooks the famous wetlands, offering an unusual inland scenic setting with shady spots provided by the trees and bushes. Benches have been set up in the shade, ideal for your picnic lunch. The beach is picture-perfect with soft white sand and calm azure blue waters. Its main attraction is limited tourist facilities and total peace and quiet. If you want to escape, this is the beach to head for. Take along your own umbrella, chairs and refreshments. Snorkelers will find a paradise under the water, with stingrays, turtles, amazing colorful fish and other marine creatures. For some fun, try jumping off the small pier into the water 10 feet below! This hidden gem is off the beaten track but will attract those looking for some quiet me-time.
Love Beach
Take a 20 minute drive north west from the cruise port, passing Gambier Village and you will find Love Beach, a small and secluded Nassau beach that is famous for a scene from James Bond's Thunderball! The beach has great amenities and makes a perfect day outing. Watch out for the sign, else you may miss it! Relax on the clean white sand and cool off in the clear and calm blue waters. A little beach shack offers snacks and exotic drinks to tempt you and there are chairs and umbrellas available at no cost. Sports lovers can hire snorkeling gear and explore the marine life, filled with amazing colorful fish, corals, stingrays and turtles. Then swim into the tide pools for a different and fun experience. Rent a kayak or a paddle boat and set off to see the shoreline from out on the water. Cameras are a must! This is the ultimate romantic secluded spot as the name indicates.
