Sandy Toes beach - Rose Island
Just arrived in the Bahamas? Set off to the most beautiful Nassau beach, Sandy Toes Beach. It is located on a private island known as Rose Island and is best reached on a planned tour or excursion of which there are many leaving from the mainland. Set off on an adrenaline pumping speed boat ride which departs from the harbor on Paradise Island. Admire the fabulous luxurious mansions lining the shore and listen to stories of celebrities who own some of these tiny islands in the region. Johnny Depp is one of them!

To see the amazing views from up high, be thrilled with a parasailing adventure where you are pulled along behind a speed boat. If you prefer a quieter beach experience, head to the far north west end, where it is more isolated and less touristy. Perfect for that romantic picnic, sipping wine and watching the sun set.

If you want to stay close to the Port and still get the benefit of a stunning beach and fabulous views, the next Nassau beach to visit is Junkanoo Beach. It is also known as the Western Esplanade as it joins the beach at Arawak Cay to Long Wharf. Take a 10 minute stroll from the cruise ship dock and you are on the beach where you can enjoy idyllic scenes of ships entering and leaving the harbor. This popular destination offers clean white sands and crystal clear waters. On Saturdays there is fun in the sun with locals hosting traditional delicious Bahamian cookouts. Kids will enjoy a ride on a pony and adults can relax under an umbrella and sip exotic cocktails.
The water is generally calm but there are waves at certain times of the year making this great for body boarding and body surfing. Bargain with the vendors and buy a fun souvenir to take home and then take part in some of the beach activities.

Cable Beach in Nassau, Bahamas

Cable Beach is located a few miles west of Nassau and covers almost two and half miles of stunning real estate filled with 5-star luxury resorts, a golf course, buzzing night life and a world famous Casino. But first, set off for the beach! It is covered in the finest white sand and offers calm sparkling turquoise water. There are few rocks and almost no waves, making this beach ideal for families with children.
Snorkelers will find this to be the perfect venue, where you can see stingrays, turtles and an abundance of colorful marine life as you float in a paradise setting. Pick up some local souvenirs from the vendors, some bargaining is needed! Sports lovers can jet ski to get their boost of adrenaline. After a relaxing swim, take a boat tour out to Eddie Murphy Island with one of the locals. Cable beach leads up to many luxury hotels, where you can stay over in exclusive accommodation or try out one of the world class restaurants for lunch or dinner.
